LeEco Cool 1 Dual

Cool 1 Dual -  Collaboration of LeEco and Coolpad product

Coolpad Cool 1 Dual

The growing trend among companies these days is to push the limits of what a smartphone camera can do. With obvious space constraints, one of the solutions was to opt for two camera lenses instead of one. What started off as a feature restricted to flagship-level smartphones, has since percolated down to more affordable smartphones. Coolpad and LeEco's joint effort, called the Cool 1 Dual, has made its way to India. The phone was announced back in August, soon after LeEco's CEO Jia Yueting took over as Chairman of Coolpad.

Specifications of Cool 1 Dual
  • LeEco Cool 1 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD Capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at a pixel density of 401 pixels per inch.
  • The Cool 1 Dual is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC, with two additional ARM Cortex-A72 cores and Adreno 510. It is available in two variants - 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/32GB storage.
  • The Cool 1  Dual has a dual 13 MP, f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash camera on the back. One has a color sensor while the other is used for monochrome data, which when used in tandem, should offer better image quality and less noise in low-light pictures. Focusing speed is good and images are saved rather quickly, with little delay. Among the shooting modes, SLR mode attempts to simulate greater bokeh levels The front of the device sports an 8MP, f/2.2, 1.4 µm pixel size for selfie shooter.
  • Other specifications include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, USB-OTG, FM radio, and GPS. The phone also supports 4G LTE on both SIM slots, and there's a toggle in the Settings app to enable voice calls using VoLTE.

The Cool 1 Dual offers good performance for its price as well as better camera performance. It’s built well, and it has a sharp display, very good battery life plus sufficient power for most tasks. Given a choice, you should buy this phone online as you get more RAM at the same price.
