Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 With Windows 10
It has been over a year since the launch of the Mi Pad 2 tablet, and you would expect Xiaomi to launch a successor sooner than later. Turns out, a successor is indeed incoming and expected to be launched by end of this month. Ahead of the launch, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 has surfaced online in all its glory, courtesy of a few leaked promotional materials. These not only show what the upcoming tablet could look like but also reveal its alleged price, specifications, and features.
Going by the promotional materials spotted by GizmoChina, the Mi Pad 3 doesn’t look a whole lot different from last year’s Mi Pad 2. It still boasts a unimetal body design and features dual speaker grilles on either side of the USB Type-C port. But one of the noticeable aspects is the larger 9.7-inch screen, which is Apple iPad Pro territory. That said, the Mi Pad 3 at 6.08mm is slightly thinner, and at 380 grams is also a tad lighter than the iPad Pro — 6.1mm and 437 grams.
Xiaomi is also rumored to offer a keyboard dock for the Mi Pad 3 that is expected to be priced at RMB 99 (Rs 970 approximately). On the software front, the Mi Pad 3 runs on Windows 10 and will come with apps like Microsoft Office and Cortana preinstalled. There is, however, no word on whether an Android variant of the Mi Pad 3 will also be launched.
