Samsung first launched the Galaxy J3 last year and followed it up with an upgraded Galaxy J3 Pro earlier this year. Now, a fresh image leak hints that the successor Galaxy J3 (2017) is set to be unveiled soon.

Now, Samsung is set to unveil the successor Galaxy J3 (2017) soon. The design of smartphone is identical as all Samsung's low-budgeted Galaxy smartphones with an identical Home Button.

Specifications of Galaxy J3 (2017) are
- The smartphone have a 5-inch Super AMOLED display which is an FHD (720 * 1280) display @ 294 pixels.
- Powered by Snapdragon 430 MSM8937 octa-core CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 and graphics are supported by Adreno 505.
- Expected to be paired with either a 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM along with 256GB expandable storage.
- As far as the camera is concerned, 8 MP, f/2.0, autofocus primary camera along with a 5 MP, f/2.2 selfie shooter.
- The device has multiple connectivity options like 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, OTG, and GPS, It will most likely come with 4G VoLTE support.
- The handset is powered with 2600 mAh of battery capacity
- The smartphone is pegged to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box (with TouchWiz UI skin on top).
The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) came to India last year in March, and was priced at Rs. 8,990. Back then, the 'S Bike Mode' was touted to be the big feature, and it helped ensure minimum distraction while riding a two-wheeler. The feature once enabled automatically replies to calls with pre-recorded messages in 14 languages and doesn't notify the rider. The feature also brings something called Motion Lock, which ensures that if the user decides to take an urgent incoming call, they will need to bring their vehicle to a halt to be able to answer it.
According to a separate Zauba listing, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is expected to be priced at Rs. 6,800, and this hints further that it should launch in India soon. There is no official word from Samsung on any launch plans so far. Do note that prices on import/ export sites like Zauba are only declared values for excise purposes, and not directly indicative of market price
